Is the Stock Market Open on Presidents Day? Presidents Day, which falls on the third Monday of February each year, is a federal holiday in the United States, and the stock market is closed in observance of it. Both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Nasdaq shut down for the day, meaning that no stock trading occurs on this holiday.
