Hi everyone, I’m posting here because I’m stuck with a payment issue and I’m not sure if it’s a FAB problem or something on the school payment side.

I’m in UAE and I use FAB for my account. I was trying to pay my child’s school fees through the school’s online portal yesterday. The payment failed twice, but I received the SMS from FAB both times and the amount is also showing as deducted when I check balance inquiry in the FAB app.

The confusing part is that the school portal still shows “unpaid” and the available balance in FAB is now lower, but there is no clear pending transaction showing under card payments. It’s like the amount is held somewhere but not showing properly.

I need to pay the fees urgently because the deadline is close, but I also don’t want to pay again and end up getting charged a third time.

Has anyone faced this with FAB before when paying school fees or any education portal? How long does it usually take for the balance to return if the payment failed, and is there a way to confirm if the money is actually gone or just on hold?
