So here's my situation, I've been working front desk and doing some light maintenance at a smaller hotel over near Catskill for about a year and a half. A few weeks ago I was moving some old furniture out of a storage room and felt something pop in my lower back. I finished my shift because I'm dumb and didn't want to cause trouble, but by the next morning I could barely get out of bed. My boss is a nice enough guy but the hotel is part of a smaller chain and I think they're trying to handle the whole thing internally to keep their insurance rates low or something. They keep asking me to just use my regular health insurance for the doctor visits, which doesn't feel right to me because this definitely happened at work.
