I’ve been living here for three years and have taken a few taxi rides. How many days are you planning to stay? As for the jeepney to the Underground River, they don't officially run there. There are shared vans from Barangay Tagburos, but the schedule is chaotic. I personally use Taxi Puerto Princesa through Gettransfer. Last month, I picked up friends from the airport and drove them around to various locations. The one-way fare from the city to the Underground River was 1,500 pesos, and the price is fixed before the trip. The driver waited while we were on the tour. We arranged that in advance. Yes, Honda Bay is definitely doable in one day.
Also, if I want to visit Honda Bay in one day after the river tour, can I arrange that through the same service? Or would it be better to take separate taxis to each destination? One more thing: Does the driver wait while you’re on the tour, or do you need to arrange the return trip separately? I just don’t want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere without transportation.
I just arrived in Palawan for the first time and am staying on Rizal Avenue in Puerto Princesa. I want to visit the Underground River, as it has been a dream of mine for a long time. However, I've read that there aren't any regular buses, only jeepneys that don't run frequently and don't go directly there. If I'm not mistaken, it's about 80 km from the city. Has anyone been there? What's the best way to get there? Should I hail a taxi on the street, or is there a service where I can book in advance? How much does it cost one way?
