U4GM Guide How to Farm ARC Raiders Power Rod Loot Fast

Lately I keep telling myself I am done with ARC Raiders for the night, then I blink and somehow it is nearly 3am and I am still in Dam Battlegrounds chasing that Power Rod Loot Room, trying to squeeze out one more decent run while checking prices on BluePrint for sale on my second screen because the temptation to shortcut the grind is always there.

Finding The Power Rod Room

If you have not stumbled into this vault yet, you are skipping one of the easier money spots in the whole zone. When you spawn on the east side near the Raider Outpost, you are basically set, just cut straight into the Power Generation Complex and drop to the basement level. The place is a bit of a mess, sentry turrets tucked into bad angles, random fireballs rolling down the corridors, and a couple of corners where you can get caught if you rush it. Eventually you hit the locked door, the one that needs an Epic Power Rod to open, and that is where the real gamble starts because dropping 5,000 coins a pop for the rods hurts if you whiff a few runs in a row.

How The Tests Were Set Up

I wanted numbers, not vibes, so I did 40 runs on this room, splitting them clean: 20 during the Cold Snap event and 20 in regular Night Raids. That meant 200,000 coins flushed on rods before I even touched the loot, which already feels rough if you are not sitting on a huge balance. Inside the vault you get four lockers plus some floor loot, and the best part is that an XL exfil usually spawns right nearby, so once you grab everything you can just haul it straight out without having to snake across half the map while overweight and praying nobody is camping the exit.

Night Raids Vs Cold Snap

Once I added everything up, Night Raids completely blew Cold Snap away for this spot. The numbers worked out to a bit over 38,000 coins profit per Night Raid run on average, which is crazy good for something this repeatable. The lockers kept spitting out pink gear like Level 2 Tempests and Renegades, plus more blueprints than I expected; one run I walked out with three Wolfpack grenades and it felt broken in the best way. Cold Snap, though, only landed around 16,000 coins profit per run and you could feel it, fewer high tier drops, less blueprint action, and way more time spent juggling the freezing mechanic instead of just grabbing loot and getting out.

Is Cold Snap Worth It

Out in the snow Cold Snap is fine, the outdoor piles do seem juiced, but for this basement vault the event is kind of a trap. You are constantly watching your hypothermia tick up, hunting for heat sources, and you end up taking risks you would not bother with in a normal lobby, all for weaker payouts. Losing a good kit because you froze mid-loot instead of dying to an actual fight feels awful, so if you are playing for pure profit it makes far more sense to save those Epic Power Rods for Night Raids. Stick to the dark runs, keep an eye out for the Rocketeer pacing above the lift, and if you ever get sick of farming the same room over and over you can always pad out your stash with a few extra coins or items from u4gm while the rest of us are still grinding the vault.
