A family trip is great! By the way, the ride on the rack railway (Cremallera) can be very exciting for children; it's like an amusement park ride. Once there, I recommend taking the Sant Joan funicular to the very top — the views are breathtaking, even for teenagers. And be sure to check the schedule for the La Escolania boys' choir performance in the basilica. It's a powerful experience, but you need to buy tickets or reserve a seat in advance.

Good afternoon, everyone! I'm planning a little adventure for my family—I want to take my wife and children from Barcelona to Montserrat for a day trip. I'm still looking into the options, and my head is spinning from the abundance of transportation choices: a regular train, then a cable car, or this cog railway... Is there a more direct and comfortable way for a small group? And please tell me, besides the monastery, where else on the mountain is worth visiting so that the children will also find it interesting—maybe there are easy walking trails or something interactive?
